then the preservation time begins.

The subsequent procedure corresponds with the working steps 7
to 10 of Section 3.5.2.

Make sure that all the water-conducting components of the sys-
tem that are not preserved, are emptied.

3.5.4

Frost Protection

If there is danger of freezing for the system after putting it out of op-
eration, then the following protective measures against frost must be
carried out.

WARNING

Without protective measures against frost, danger
is given of damage to the membranes and other
system components.

NOTE

For operational breaks > 60 h, preserving agent
must also be added to the anti-freeze.

For temperatures of the anti-freeze/preserving solution > 20 °C (the
parameter raw-water temperature can be called up via the SPC), the
following proceedings apply:

1.

Perform the "Washing out" work step according to Section 3.5.1.

NOTE

Stop the "Washing out" procedure when the 40 l
level in the cleaning tank is reached.

2.

Fill anti-freeze into the cleaning tank according to Table 1,
page 49.

3.

Shut valve V05 of the concentrate return line.

4.

Set the valve lever V12 (50/9) to the horizontal position (open).
V10 is shut.

5.

Connect the industrial and drinking water hose to the couplings
(50/3 and 4) of the of the cleaning tank.

6.

Set the "Program" selector switch (49/12) to "Maintenance".

7.

Set the "Maintenance function" selector switch (49/10) to "Disin-
fecting/Anti-freeze".

8.

Press the luminous "Start" button (49/11).

A high-pressure pump starts

➜

The operating panel (49/7) indicates "Maintenance-Disinfec-
tion/Anti-freeze" and then the time required for the anti-freeze
procedure.

NOTE

The actual value indicated on the display corresponds
with the time the process has been running.

9.

After 20 minutes the operating panel (49/7) indicates "Open V10".

10. After the required time has elapsed, the high-pressure pump

switches off.
