Cleaning the star filter
Clean the star filter at regular intervals.
1. Switch off the device.
2. When sucking up dry material, move
the filter cleaning lever back and
forth at least 5 times.
If cleaning does not improve, remove
the star filter and wash or replace.
(See Chapter Replacing the star filter).
Emptying the vacuum cleaner
waste container

WARNING
Danger of crushing
When removing or replacing the con-
tainer, watch for moving parts.
Note
The vacuum cleaner waste container
must be emptied when it is has filled up
to approx. 3 cm below the upper edge.
Regularly check the filling level in the
vacuum cleaner waste container, since
the device does not switch off automat-
ically during suction.
1. Switch off the device.
2. Secure the device using the parking
brakes on the steering rollers.
3. When sucking up dry material, move
the filter cleaning lever back and
forth at least 5 times.
4. Open the lock on the vacuum clean-
er waste container upwards.
5. Pull the vacuum cleaner waste con-
tainer out of the device.

6. Empty the vacuum cleaner waste
container and insert it back into the
device in the reverse order.
Using a dust collection bag
A dust collection bag can be inserted in
the vacuum cleaner waste container to
allow dust-free emptying of the device.
Note
The dust collection bag must not be
used for wet vacuum cleaning.
1. Insert the dust collection bag in the
vacuum cleaner waste container
and carefully press it against the
wall of the container.
2. Pull the edge of the dust collection
bag over the edge of the vacuum
cleaner waste container.
3. Insert the vacuum cleaner waste
container into the device.
4. On completion of vacuuming, close
the dust collection bag and remove it
from the vacuum cleaner waste con-
tainer.
5. Dispose of the dust collection bag
and contents according to the appli-
cable waste disposal regulations.
Removing the suction head
1. Switch off the device and disconnect
it from the mains supply.
2. Open the suction head lock.
3. Lift off the suction head and set it
down on a suitable surface.

Finishing operation
1. Switch off the device at the On/Off
switch
2. Empty and clean the collecting con-
tainer.
3. Remove the accessory and clean
and dry if necessary.
