2. Driver Installation
Depending on your operating system, you may need to install drivers before
using your KanguruZipper Mini.
Drivers are required for Win98/98SE
. All other
supported operating systems do not require the installation of drivers.
Windows 98/98SE
1. Insert the Kanguru Drivers and Manuals mini CD included with this device.
2. The disc will auto run and launch the driver installation wizard. If the disc
does not auto run, double click on My Computer then double click on your
CD or DVD drive and then double click on
Win98Driver1.0.exe
to launch
the installation wizard.
3. Follow the onscreen to wizard to complete the installation.
4. When the installation has completed, insert the KanguruZipper Mini into
an available USB port. A found new hardware wizard will recognize the
device and locate the drivers automatically. You can now access the drive
in My Computer.
Windows 2000/ME/XP and Mac OS 9.x and above
There is no need to install any drivers for these operating systems. To begin
using the drive, follow these steps:
1. If your computer is not turned on, please do so at this time and wait for
your operating system to load.
2.
Plug in the Zipper Mini into an available USB port on your computer.
3. The operating system will detect the drive and install the necessary drivers
automatically. To make sure the drive is recognized by your system, check
in “My Computer” to find a new “
Local Disk
” drive as shown below. For
Macintosh users, the Zipper Mini will appear as a new icon on your
desktop.
