Cage and frame
- The sections of the cage are attached with the central straps.
- All Velcro straps are snug and wrapped in place.
- Appropriate distance is available between the propeller and the cage.
- Check the net tension (if applicable).
- Check the shackle pins, shackle pin safety ring, and the starter pulley.
Motor
- Check the rubber mounts for the engine mounts and the exhaust system.
- Check the silencer for cracks or leaks and for proper spring tension.
- Ensure the fuel tank has no leaks and the cap is closed.
- Check the hoses for leaks and no slack near the exhaust.
- Carburetor and air box are securely fixed to the frame.
- The spark plug is correctly screwed into the engine and the spark plug resistor cover
is securely attached.
- Checking the propeller and propeller screws. Make sure that they are not loose and
that when running there is no unusual noise when rotating.
- Check that the leading edges and the propeller tips are in good condition.
- Throttle: easy to squeeze closed to the idle position. Make sure the kill switch button
(stop switch) is functional.
- Make sure that the cruise control is deactivated (if used).
Accessories
- Verify the reserve parachute container is closed and the straps are correctly routed and
attached to the frame. Make sure all accessories are properly connected to the harness
(quick links).
- If used, accelerator is attached to the harness.
