Trouble Shooting your K&H CleanFlow
Q: Why does the water in my CleanFlow smell funny?
A: The CleanFlow is not a self-cleaning bowl, you must clean all components of
the CleanFlow regularly. For be results be sure to clean the bowl, filter, and
reservoir and pump at least once a week. Replace your filter at least once a
month.
Q: Why does my bowl have sediment at the bottom?
A: Large heavy debris should be removed by hand. All other sediment should
pass through the filter. If you have small debris in the bottom of your bowl please
be sure to clean the bowl, filter, and reservoir and pump. Also check to make
sure that the rubber tube is placed properly through the hole in the side of the
bowl to ensure proper circulation as pictured in the instructions as well as the
image below.
Q: Why is my CleanFlow overflowing?
A: If your CleanFlow is assembled properly it will not overflow. Be sure to check
the cord placement, filter placement, pump placement and lid assembly to make
sure they are all placed correctly. Also make sure the cap of your reservoir is not
loose. If any of these components are out of place the CleanFlow may leak or
overflow.
Q: Why isn’t my pump working?
A: There may be an air lock in the tube. If water flow does not start immediately,
lift the front edge of the bowl slightly to help release air from the pump tube. This
will help the pump grab water.
