Installation
Remove the speakers from the main unit. Assemble the two speaker stands ensuring that they are tightened
sufficiently. Make sure that stands are positioned on a level surface. Place the speakers on the stands. While the
unit is turned off, attach the speaker cables to the speakers and then to the mixer rear panel. Connect the
microphone to the unit. Ensure that the microphone is not pointing towards the speakers as this may result in
feedback when the unit is switched on (see
Adjusting the equaliser
for information on reducing feedback).
Connecting the power supply
Connect the supplied standard IEC power lead to the unit and to the power supply. Ensure that all the gain /
volume controls are set to their minimum. Turn the unit on using the power button (15) on the rear of the unit. After
turning the unit on, increase the main volume control slowly, the optimum fader position is 6, then set the level and
tone for each channel.
Connecting a CD / MP3 player to the mixer
Connect player to channel 5 with an RCA cable. Connect the L and R to the corresponding mixer port. Adjust the
volume, tone and reverb using the channel 5 controls.
Adjusting the equaliser
The mixer includes a 5 band equaliser to adjust the tone of the audio output. Move the equaliser faders upwards to
increase the tone of a given band. The Low fader adjusts the bass of the audio and the High fader increases the
treble of the audio. If you are experiencing feedback try adjusting the EQ band under the feedback monitor LED
indicator that is flashing.
Digital effects processor / digital delay / reverb
The Kam Transporter 300 includes its own built-in DSP effects unit. Use the Up and Down arrows to choose the
effect that you require. Use the reverb rotary control on each channel to control how much effect is applied to that
channel. DSP effects include Hall Reverb, Delay and Chorus.
Digital SD / USB media player
Connect a suitable media source (SD card or USB stick) to the rear of the unit (14). Once the MP3 audio tracks
have loaded, press the Play button
>||
to begin your music. To forward or reverse to the next track press the
