THE INTERNAL BATTERY PACK
To charge the built-in batteries:
1.
Set the Power Selector switch to
"DYNAMO"
.
2.
Turn the VOLUME control to
"OFF"
.
3.
Pull out the dynamo cranking handle.
4.
Turn the handle clockwise at a speed of 2 turns per second.
lf you turn the generator too slow, you will not generate enough
energy to charge the battery. The time taken to charge the
batteries depends on the cranking speed and the charge in the
batteries.
NOTE:
lf radio or flashlight is in use for a long time and the
batteries get exhausted, battery life is shorten and the battery pack
will be hard to recharge by cranking alone. lf you find the battery
pack does not hold charge or is difficult to charge by cranking, use
an optional AC adaptor to recharge and recondition the battery
pack. Crank the generator at least once a month when the radio is
not in use and during use, switch the radio off and periodically
crank it.
Charging via an AC/DC adapter
Use a 4.5-6V AC/DC adapter. Be sure that the polarity
of the DC connector matched the polarity on the radio.
1.
Set the power selector to
"DYNAMO"
.
2.
Plug the AC/DC adapter to the radio and main power
outlet from the wall, then turn on the radio.
3.
Charging the battery pack. The time taken to charge the battery
depends the adapter you use, do not charge it over 24 hours for
any reason.
