Cablemaster System
Your Krogen 58’ is equipped with two 24V DC Cablemaster System, Models CM-7,
from Glendinning for easy and convenient pay out and retrieval of your 50 amp, 6/3 (1”
diameter) shore power cords. Each system consists of 75 feet of 1” diameter power cord,
a power unit, hawse pipe, power cord storage area and associated wiring and connectors.
Each power unit is comprised of a drive motor, reduction gearing, guide roller assembly
and relay assembly. There is one Radio Control Receiver which serves both systems.
The power cord storage area for both power cords is located in the Lazarette, Starboard
side. Access to the power cord storage area is through the Lazarette hatch.
Within the hawse pipe, a neoprene gasket/wiper prevents water from entering the power
cord storage area and helps clean the power cords as they are retracted into the vessel.
As part of the delivery packet from Kadey-Krogen, you received a “Glendinning
Cablemaster, Guide to Description, Installation and Operation” manual which provides
excellent comprehensive and detailed information on the operation of your Cablemaster
Systems. We highly recommend you become familiar with the organization, content, and
format of that manual. This owner’s manual will highlight the more important items in
the “Glendinning Cablemaster, Guide to Description, Installation and Operation” manual.
