Replacing the terminal
From version 2.9 of the B-COMM Java communication software, the terminal can, if
required, be easily replaced by another one. B-COMM manages the configuration
of all registered devices. The current parameters of all terminals are interrogated
and backed up once a day.
Conditions:
• Can only be replaced by devices with identical hardware.
• Special replacement terminal required. The contains a sop.ini licence file with the
parameter "Replacement=true".
• The network parameters DHCP and "DNS Configuration from DHCP" must be
active (delivery state).
Procedure
1. Replace the old terminal with the replacement terminal.
2. After switching on the replacement terminal, the serial number of the replaced
terminal must first be entered.
3. A connection is automatically established and B-COMM Java then transfers a
modified licence file and all the existing applicable parameters to the
replacement terminal.
4. The replacement terminal is restarted automatically and is then ready to use.
5. The master records and time profiles can now be sent to the terminal.

Lithium batteries can explode or burst explosively.
