7.1
Restoring factory settings
Pressing the Reset button on the back of the device will reset all settings, e.g. discon-
necting all connected wireless components, restoring the Ethernet settings to DHCP
and restoring the passwords for logging on to the wireless gateway service interface.
7.1.1
Procedure
ü
The back of the device is accessible.
ü
The device is connected to the power.
ü
Use a paper clip or similar with a maximum diameter of 1.2 mm.
1. Press the Reset button on the back of the device for five seconds.

The wireless gateway will restart and load the factory settings.
7.1.2
Effects on wireless components
•
Restoring the factory settings on the wireless gateway does not reset the settings
of connected wireless components. At these control points, access control con-
tinues in the same status as before the reset.
•
The wireless components cannot find the wireless gateway after the reset. To
add the wireless components back into the secured wireless network, carry out
the wireless commissioning process again. To do this, start by disconnecting the
wireless components from the wireless network and then reconnect.

To also reset the wireless components' settings, follow the installation instruc-
tions for the wireless component.
7.1.3
Effects on wireless extenders
•
Restoring the factory settings on the wireless gateway disconnects the wireless
extenders from the wireless gateway. To reconnect the wireless extender to the
secured wireless network, carry out the wireless commissioning process again.
7.1.4
Effects on the host system
•
Restoring the factory settings on the wireless gateway does not reset the settings
of the host system.
