DISABLE USER
(Manager only.)
ALWAYS PERFORM THIS OPERATION WITH THE DOOR OPEN
1. Enter the Manager combination and
hold down last digit of the combination until the lock signals with two sets of double beeps.
2.
PRESS 2.
Lock signals once.
3. User is temporarily disabled. (User combination is saved and will be valid if reinstated)
4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds and repeat steps
1 - 3

REINSTATE USER
(Manager only.)

Lock signals once.
3. User is reinstated.

REMOVE USER
(Manager only.)
ALWAYS PERFORM THIS OPERATION WITH THE DOOR OPEN
1. Enter the Manager combination and
hold down last digit of the combination until the lock signals with two sets of double beeps.

PRESS 3.
Lock signals once.
3. User and combination are removed from the lock. (Add User feature is still available.)
4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds and repeat steps
1 - 3

DUAL MODE OPERATION
(If mode is active. Must be programmed using 3045 Hand-Held Programmer)
1. Must add User to open lock. (See
ADD USER
)
• User cannot be disabled or removed.
2. If Time Delay is active, one valid combination will start Delay period.
• Both combinations required to open lock in Open period.
TIME DELAY OVERRIDE
(If mode is active. Must be programmed using 3045 Hand-Held Programmer)
1. Must add User to use this mode. (See
ADD USER
)
• User cannot be disabled or removed.
2. Entering Override User combination during Delay period will open the lock.
PROGRAMMABLE LOCK FEATURES
(Time delay and silent alarm features may be combined with any programmable lock mode.)
TIME DELAY
(If feature is active. Must be programmed using 3045 Hand-Held Programmer.)
1. Entering a valid combination begins the Delay period.
• LED flashes at one (1) second intervals.
- If a valid combination is entered during the Delay, then Delay period restarts.
- If an invalid combination is entered during Delay, then the Delay period aborts.
2. At end of Delay period, the Open period begins.
• LED flashes at 1/2 second intervals and the entry beeps at ten (10) second intervals.
- If a valid combination(s) is entered during the Open period, then the lock will open.
- If an invalid combination is entered during Open period, then the Open period continues.
• Four (4) consecutive invalid combinations entered will start the Wrong Try Penalty.
SILENT SIGNAL ALARM
(If feature is active AND optional Alarm Box [2789 or 4002] is connected to an alarm system.)
1. To send an alarm signal enter last digit of combination one number higher or one number lower.
• Example: Combination: 1-2-3-4-5-6
• Duress: 1-2-3-4-5-5 or 1-2-3-4-5-7
2. The lock will open without any indication that the duress signal has been sent.
DISABLE LOCK
(If feature is active the alarm box [2789 or 4002] is required. ONLY the Manager is available)
Input signal to the alarm box will disable opening of the lock by a valid combination.
WRONG TRY PENALTY
• Entry of four (4) consecutive invalid combinations starts a five (5) minute delay period.
- LED flashes at ten (10) second intervals.
• At the end of the delay period, two more consecutive invalid combinations will restart the five (5) minute delay period.
Entry will not respond to keystrokes during delay period.
BATTERY LOW WARNING
Repeated LED flashing and beeping during an opening indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
• Uses alkaline battery only. (Example: Duracell™ or Eveready™ alkaline batteries.) It is recommended that batteries are replaced at least
once a year.
• For battery replacement instructions, see the input unit’s “User Operating” guide.
Lock contains a nonvolatile memory; even with batteries removed the lock will retain all programming.
