Using as a CD -R/RW drive

To use the unit as a CD-R/RW drive

1

Press POWER.

Make sure the power indicator lights.

2

Press SCSI.

Make sure the SCSI indicator lights up.

3

Turn on the host computer.

Important notes

• Setting the SCSI mode to OFF during using the unit as a CD-R/RW

drive  interferes with the operation of the host computer.

• Be sure to operate in the proper order as described above, or the unit

cannot be recognized.

NOTES

• Your computer system and SCSI devices should not be set up in near proximity to

a television or radio as they may cause interference with signal reception.

• Be careful not to set the same ID number to two SCSI devices attached to the same

host computer.

• Be sure to turn off the power supply before changing SCSI ID numbers.

• When you have reset the ID number of a SCSI device, be sure also to reset the host

computer.

• When the SCSI mode is set to OFF, the computer cannot recognize the unit.

• When you use the unit as a CD-R/RW drive, the audio functions (playback,

recording) do not work.
