Tuner Operation

You can listen to FM and AM stations by tuning in manually, au-
tomatically, or using preset memory.
For best reception, extend the headphone cord (FM antenna) for
FM and turn the unit for AM.

Setting the AM frequency interval
(except the U.S.A. and Canada)

When shipped, the AM freguency interval is set to 9 kHz.
You can change it to 10 kHz to suit to your country.
When you change it, always remove the AC adaptor and the bat-
teries from the unit beforehand.

Changing the FM reception mode

When a broadcast is in stereo, “ST.” lights up and you can hear
stereo effects. However, if an FM stereo broadcast is hard to re-
ceive or noisy, you can select monaural (MONO) mode. Reception
improves, but you lose the stereo effect.
