Is the wiring for IC541

"1" to "14" correct?

Is 8V present at IC541

pin "6"?

Check the feed motor

connection wiring.

Check the vicinity of

IC561.

YES

Check CD 9V.

When the lens is

moving:

Check the circuits in

the vicinity of IC541

pins "8" and "9".

Check the pickup and

its connections.

YES

Does the S-search

waveform appear at

IC561 pins "32"?

Is the disk rotated?

Does the RF signal

appear at RF TP?

Is 4V present between

IC541 pins "6" and "7"?

Check the spindle motor

and its wiring.

Is 4V present at IC561

pin "29"?

Check the vicinity of

IC541.

Check IC561 and

IC801.

YES

Check the circuits in the

vicinity of IC561 "21" to

"40" or the pickup.

Is the RF waveform at

RF TP distorted?

Proceed to the Tracking

section.

When the disc is rotated

at first:

Check the circuit in the

vicinity of IC561 pins

"21" to "40".

Check IC501.

Check the pickup and

its connections.

YES

Is the tracking error

signal output at TE TP?
