Pre s etting the Time Code/U s er’ s Bit
The time code and user ’ s b it can b e set in the [TC/UB] menu.
There are two ways to display the [TC/UB] menu.

Display the menu screen using the MENU b utton, then
select the [TC/UB] menu. ( A Page 64)

S et [U S ER1], [U S ER2], or [U S ER 3 ] in the [CAMERA
S ETTING S ] menu to [TC S ETTING], then press the
corresponding U S ER b utton.

U s e the method above to di s play the [TC/UB] menu.

S etting the run mode of the time code generator.
S et the [TC GENE.] menu to [FREE] or [REC].

S etting the framing mode of the time code generator.
S et [DROP FRAME] to [DROP] or [NON DROP].
Memo :
●
[DROP FRAME] cannot b e set when the frame rate is set
to 50, 25, or 24.
●
Even when the [DROP FRAME] menu is set to [DROP],
the targeted drop frames are not skipped automatically in
the [TC PRE
S ET] menu. They will b e skipped
automatically during recording.

Select the [TC PRESET] menu, and pre ss the center
of the Set Lever.

The time code preset screen appears.

Set the time code (hour, minute, s econd, frame).
Push the S et Lever up or down to change the setting value.
Push the S et Lever to the left or right to jump to the next digit.

Confirm the time code s etting.
Press the center of the S et Lever.

Returns to the [TC/UB] menu.

Closing the menu screen
Press MENU.

The normal screen is displayed.
S elect [UB PRE S ET] in the [TC/UB] menu. The method
for setting the user ’ s b it is the same as the method for
setting the time code. An alphanumeric character
b etween 0 to 9 and A to F can b e specified for each digit.

FREE : The time code operates in the run
mode at all times.
REC : The time code operates in the run
mode only during recording.
DROP : The time code generator operates in
the drop frame mode. Use this setting
when placing emphasis on the
recording time.
NON DROP : The time code generator operates in
the non-drop frame mode. Use this
setting when placing emphasis on the
num
b er of frames.
