5. Input a preferred title (up to 32 charac-
ters).
Use the following buttons to input a title.

Example: When input the title “N(space)1”
1. Display the letter N to be input.
•
Press the > button until the letter N is displayed.
OR
•
Press the DOWN button until "KLMNO" is displayed.
2. Select “N” (put the cursor to the letter N using the > or < but-
ton).
3. Press the SET button.
The letter N is now displayed in the title area.
4. Select “(space)” and press the SET button.
5. Press the DISPLAY/CHARA button until the numbers are
displayed.
6. Select “1” and press the SET button.
The title name "N(space)1" will be displayed.
Editing the Title Name:
•
If the wrong character has been input, clear it using the
CANCEL button.
•
To clear a particular character which has been input, use the

or

button to align the cursor with the character, and
press the CANCEL button. Then, select the correct charac-
ter and press the SET button.

6. Press the EDIT/TITLE button.
■
7. Press the EDIT/TITLE button again.
The "EDIT" indicator disappears on the display.

8. Press the MD
0
button to complete editing.
The MD is ejected after "UTOCwriting" is displayed.
•
You can also complete editing operation by pressing the
POWER button to turn off the power.
To cancel the operation,
press the CANCEL button in step 6.
Note:
While "UTOCwriting" is displayed, do not disconnect the
power cord or subject the Unit to the vibration to avoid in-
correct recording.
