fitted a two-pole switch conforming to
regulations with an opening distance
between contacts of not less than 3mm.
The manufacturers are not liable for any
problems caused by the user’s failure to
observe the above instructions.
Fixing the hood
After having adjusted the hood for the version
required, it may be installed.
— This appliance is designed for fitting in a
cabinet or some other support.
— The opening to be made on the bottom of
the wall-hung cabinet must correspond
with the measurements shown in fig. 5.
To fix the hood proceed as follows:
a) remove the grill.
b) Fit the hood into the opening.
c) Secure the unit to the cabinet by screwing
up screws through holes D (fig. 5).
d) Replace the grill.
Instructions
Hoods model JDL 4130 is fitted with 1
motor.
The power is adjusted by means of an
electronic sliding switch, plus an intensive
set located at the end of the switch run.
For the best performance, we recommend
using the low speeds in normal conditions
and the high speeds in particular cases of
strong odour and vapour concentration.
We recommend starting up the hood a few
minutes before cooking and keeping it
running until all the odours have been
eliminated.
The switching plate is fitted with two switches
one for continuous adjustment of the
ventilator (right switch) and one for
illuminating the work surface (left switch) .
Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance
operation, disconnect the hood from the
electricity.
Metal grease filter
The hood has a metal grease filter.
The metal grease filter lasts forever.
To clean the filter, proceed as follows:
a) Open the grill by turning knob C (fig. 3).
b) Pull the two plastic stops E as shown by
the arrows (fig. 6) and remove the metal
filter.
c) With normal use, the grease filter should
be washed once a month in a dishwasher
or in warm soapy water and should be
left to dry before being refitted.
Attention! When washed in a dishwasher,
the metal grease filter may discolour.
When cleaning the grease filter, we
recommend washing the grill too with warm
water and soap.

The active carbon filter eliminates odours
which are formed during cooking.
If used with normal frequency it should be
replaced once every 4 months.
New active carbon filters are available from
the supplier; it must not be washed.
To remove rotate the filter in anticlockwise
so to unlock it from its seat.
Attention
Failure to observe the rules for cleaning the
appliance and changing and cleaning the
filters may cause fires.
Therefore, we recommend observing these
instructions.
Replacing the lamp
a) Disconnect the hood from the electricity.
b) Remove the grate.
c) Always replace burn-out bulbs with olive-
shaped max 40 Watt (E14) bulbs.
Before calling for repair service because the
hood fails to light up, make sure the bulbs
are screwed in tightly.
Cleaning
To clean the outside of the hood use a cloth
moistened with denatured alcohol or neutral
liquid detergents.
Never use products containing abrasive.
Wipe brushed stainless steel in the same
direction as the brushing to avoid scratching.
