Preparation
ü
Insert three
three 3V
batteries
(CR 2032) and close battery
compartment. Check for orientation! Replace batteries
when the battery symbol starts to blink.
ü
Alternatively use the optional
USB cable
and a
wall socket
power adapter
as alternative power source.
ü
Make sure the provided
RFID card for the LOT corresponding to your test
is at hand.
ü
Run the
LFA test
according to the IFU
ü
If the
Battery Warning Symbol
shows up and you are running in
Timer Mode
, change batteries as soon as
possible or use the optional USB cable as power source.
Measurement
ü
Switch on
VCH-Reader by pressing the button shortly (
< 1s
).
ü
VCH-Reader shows
ON

ü
For
Direct Read
press button once shortly (
< 1s
).
ü
For
Timer Read
press and
hold button until the display shows
RFID

).

Put LOT specific
RFID card on top
of VHC-Reader and wait for audi-
ble signal as acknowledgement for the transmission. You might
need to move the RFID card a little bit to start data transmission.

Insert test
into adapter and put
VHC-Reader on top
of the
adapter.
ü
Start measurement
by pressing the button shortly (
< 1s
).

In
Timer Mode
, the remaining time until automatic measurement
is shown as a
countdown
on the display.

Hint: In order to
check the corresponding test LOT
, press the but-
ton for
more than 1s
after the display shows TEST.
ü
VCH-Reader shows
RUN
and after a few seconds the
result

Results can be
saved
by pressing and holding the button

SAVE
).

VHC-Reader
turns off
by itself after

of inactivity and stores the
last measurement
Data Management
Data saved on the VHC-Reader may be accessed from a PC by the optional DataReader software in connection
with the optional USB/Data cable.
