Footnotes are remarks that refer to specific points in the text. Footnotes
consist of two parts:
Marking in the text and the footnote text.
The marking in the text is arranged as continuous superscript numbers.
The footnote text (in smaller typeface) is placed at the bottom of the page and
starts with a superscript number.
