when working with power tools. Never use power tools if you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Just a moment of inattention while
working with the power tool is sufficient for a serious personal injury to occur.
• Use suitable safety equipment. Always wear safety glasses. If personal safety
equipment such as a dust mask, anti-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or ear
protection (depending on how the power tool is used) are used this reduces
the risk of personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starting. Make sure that the power switch is in the OFF
position before plugging in the power cord and/or the battery. If your finger is
held on the power switch when the power tool is carried or connect to the
power supply when it is turned on may result in an accident.
• Always check that Allen keys/spanners etc. have been removed from the power
tool before it is started. A tool or a spanner left attached to a rotating machine
part may result in personal injury.
• Try not to stand in an unnatural position. Always maintain a firm footing and
good balance. This will give better control over the power tool in the event of
unexpected situations.
• Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep
your hair, clothing and hands away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing,
jewellery or long hair can get caught in moving parts.
• If dust extraction and dust collection equipment is available, this should be
connected and used correctly. Dust extraction equipment can reduce the risks
associated with dust.
Using and looking after power tools
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the planned work.
Using appropriate power tools means you can work better and safer within the
specified performance range.
• Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off with the power switch. A power
tool that cannot be started or switched off is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Unplug the power cord and/or remove the battery before making any
adjustments, changing accessories or putting the power tool away. This
precaution prevents the power tool from starting accidentally.
• Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow
children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions,
to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous if used by inexperienced people.
• Keep the power tool properly maintained. Check that moving parts are properly
