USE
• Only use the soldering pencil and soldering wire (6) for soldering electronic and electrical
components. Make sure that no nearby components get so hot that they can be damaged
during the soldering.
• Fit the required soldering tip (3).
Pointed
For spot soldering and thin wires.
Flat
For electrical and electronics work.
• Plug in the power cord, place the soldering pencil with the heating element (4) in the holder
(11), and wait until it reaches working temperature. The soldering tip has reached working
temperature when the solder melts immediately on contact with the soldering tip.
RIGHT
WRONG
• Apply solder to the new or cleaned tip (3)
by applying the tip against the soldering
wire (6).
• Clean the parts that are to be soldered.
• Apply the soldering wire (6) with flux
against the outer end of the tip (3). The
flux spreads out, which ensures that the
solder adhers properly.
• Clean the tip (3) more often with the
sponge (7) for big jobs and apply new
solder as necessary.
• Use desoldering wick (sold separately) to
remove old or surplus solder. Apply the
desoldering wick to the solder to be
removed and melt the solder with the
soldering tip. The meleted solder is
absorbed by the wick and can thereby be
removed.
• During short pauses, put the tool in the holder (11). Unplug the power cord and allow the tool to
cool in the holder (11) after finishing the work.
