6. Predrill to avoid cracking the wood and
then screw in four suitable wood screws
8x50 mm (sold separately). Do not
screw in all the way, leave about 10 mm
between screw head and landing stage.
7. Lift the ladder in place on the mounting
plates and align the four screws in the
keyholes on the front of landing stage.
8. Screw in the four lock nuts on the top of
the landing stage and then tighten the
four screws on the outside.
MAINTENANCE
The ladder can be dismantled during the
winter to avoid getting damaged by ice.
DESCRIPTION
Galvanised tubular design with handrail
and four steps made of black plastic with
honeycomb drain pattern. Extendable med
Jula ladder, part number 650-396.
NOTE:
• Screws to fasten ladder to landing stage
not supplied; sold separately.
ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
• The surface of the galvanised rails can
be somewhat rough and sharp. This is
because the material has a high content
of zinc to ensure good protection from
rust. Use a file to smooth sharp edges.
• When assembling over water, make sure
not to drop any parts.
1. Assemble the steps with the supplied
screws, washers and nuts.

2. Put both the mounting plates temporarily
on the ladder.

3. Position the ladder in the required place
and mark out where both the mounting
plates are to be screwed in place.
4. Lift off the ladder and predrill for the six
screws to avoid cracking the wood. Fasten
the mounting plates with the recessed
wood screws 10x50 mm (sold separately).

5. Replace the ladder on the mounting
plates and mark out the attachment
points for the four screws on the outside
of the landing stage. Lift off the ladder. (A
= Marking for position of hole/screw)
