SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use!
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances, particularly if
children are nearby. This includes the following:
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury due to electric shock:
Always unplug the machine from the mains supply before cleaning.
Do not place or store the machine where it could fall or be pulled down into a washbasin,
bath, etc.
Do not use the machine while you are showering or bathing.
Take care not to immerse or drop the machine in water or any other liquid.
Immediately disconnect the machine from the power outlet before reaching for the
machine if it has fallen into water.
To reduce the risk of burns, deadly electric current, fire or other personal injuries:
Only use the machine for its intended purpose in accordance with the description in these
Operating Instructions. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
Never leave the machine unattended when it is connected to the mains.
Careful supervision is required when the machine is being used on, by or in the vicinity of
children and people with disabilities.
Do not use the machine if it is not working correctly, if it has been dropped or is damaged
in any way.
Do not use the machine if the power cord and/or plug are damaged in any way. For safety
reasons, the power cord must only be replaced or repaired by an authorised service
centre. Consult your dealer.
Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
Do not pull the power cord and do not wind it around the machine.
Make sure that no objects penetrate any opening in the machine.
Before use, check that the cutting blades are correctly aligned.
Do not put the machine down on any surface while it is running.
Do not use the machine with a broken or damaged comb or with a cutting blade without
any teeth
– this can lead to injury.
