SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
Turn off the water after use. At high ambient temperatures and high water pressure, the water
heats up and damages the hose, which then becomes harder to wind up.
It is important to turn off the water or air pressure before retracting the hose.
Do not leave the reel outdoors in low temperatures as this may cause the hose to lose its flexibility,
making it difficult to retract.
Do not let the reel or hose come in contact with chemicals or substances such as acetone, white
spirit, lactic acid or similar. Note that, unless otherwise stated, the hose must not be used for
drinking water.

INSTALLATION
The reel should be installed close to the water tap. Attach the inlet hose to the reel by inserting the brass
thread in the brass tube. Connect the other end to the tap. Prevent leaks by applying PTFE tape on the
threads of the brass connection. Do not tighten the threads too hard as this may damage them.
The mounting bracket can e.g. be placed on a brick wall. There are many alternative positions in which
the unit can be placed. Ideally, mount the reel horizontally on a wall or post, about 1 metre above the
ground. The reel can also be used vertically, suspended from a suitable overhead beam or rafter. For
absolute safety, the reel must be anchored using a bolt or a lock on the lower attachment pin. The
mounting bracket has four holes. An M8 screw is used in each hole. A spring washer or damper must be
used with each screw. The four holes are located in the corners of the bracket and have a 132 x 66 mm
hole spacing.
USE
The hose reel is powered and released by a charged spring which automatically winds up the hose. A
locking mechanism is located between the left cover and the reel which is used to set the hose length
when winding the hose in and out. A mechanism winds the hose evenly on the reel. The hose can be
pulled out from 0 to 15 m and it can be rotated through 180 degrees to extend the reach. The reel can be
mounted using various brackets and is easy to install anywhere. This is an automatic hose reel that can
handle high flow and pressure rates.
The reel is fitted with a ratchet wheel making it very easy to extend and retract the hose. The hose will
automatically lock at the length you have extended it. To retract, simply pull the hose out a further 5 cm
and it will retract automatically. Hold the nozzle end of the hose during retraction. If the hose becomes
tangled, extend it fully and then rewind it evenly on the reel.
MAINTENANCE
Do not immerse the reel in water to clean. Clean the hose before rewinding if it is very dirty.
Mount the reel in a sheltered position to prolong its life. The metal parts will deteriorate and rust in
exposed positions. The polypropylene parts are also affected when exposed outdoors, particularly
to sunlight, which affects the life of the reel housing and retracting wheel. The hose can be
damaged if it is full of water and exposed to temperatures below 0°C.
The reel should be stored away when not in use.
The spring may become fatigued if the hose is not retracted after prolonged use. It can then be
adjusted 1-2 turns. First remove the left-hand cover from the reel. Clamp the end of spring to keep
it away from the reel. Now rotate the pull-rod anti-clockwise 1-2 turns, replace the end of the spring
in the reel and finally refit the left-hand cover.
