TROUBLESHOOTING
Improper repairs can affect the operation of the equipment and pose a risk of injury/death or damage to
property.
Refer to the troubleshooting chart below to resolve any problems.

The pump will not
run.
No power supply.
Check cables, plugs, sockets and fuses.
The level sensor is not
working.
Make sure the water level is adequate.
The level sensor is defective. Contact an authorised service representative.
The pump will not
run.
Motor overheats because the
liquid temperature is too high
or the pump is clogged.
Eliminate the cause of overheating.
The residual current device
has tripped.
Reset the residual current device.
Contact a qualified electrician if the residual current
device trips repeatedly.
The motor is defective.
Contact an authorised service representative.
The pump runs,
but delivers no
liquid.
The suction opening is
clogged.
Clear the suction opening.
The pump sucks air.
Tilt the pump when it is submersed in the liquid.
Switch the pump on and off several times to
remove the air.
The pump is clogged.
Clean the pump (see section on cleaning intake).
The pump gives
insufficient water.
Lifting height too high.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted lifting
height.
Pressure pipe diameter too
small.
Use a larger pressure pipe.
The pressure pipe is
clogged.
Clear the pressure pipe.
The suction opening is
clogged.
Clear the suction opening.
The pressure pipe is bent.
Straighten out the pressure pipe.
Pressure pipe leakage.
Seal the pressure pipe and all connections.
Noisy pump.
The pump sucks air.
Make sure the water level is adequate.
Tilt the pump when it is submersed in the liquid.
The pump does
not stop.
The level sensor is defective. Contact an authorised service representative.
