Terminals
The Reset button on the terminal panel is used to reset the system to its factory settings.
Electrical connection
The power supply wires are connected to respective terminals.
The earth wire is connected to the GND terminal.
Connecting the display unit
Terminal 1: red wire (+12V).
Terminal 2: white wire (COM).
Terminal 3: black wire (GND).
NOTE
: Route the wires through the cable gland and secure the cable
with the strain relief clamp.
Sensor connections
Sensor input T0, T1: For Pt1000 sensor. Used to measure the temperature of the solar collector and to
measure the thermal energy.
Sensor input T2, T3 and T4: For sensor NTC10K, B=395. Used to measure the temperature in the tank
and pipes.
Tips for installation of the temperature sensors
Only use the Pt1000 temperature sensors provided with this solar collector array. These sensors have a
1.5 m silicone cable and can be used outdoors in all weather conditions. The temperature sensor and
cable can withstand temperatures up to 280°C. The sensor connection is not polarity dependent.
Only use the supplied temperature sensors NTC10K, B=3950 for the tank and pipes in this solar collector
array. These sensors have a 1.5 m PVC cable. The temperature sensor and cable can withstand
temperatures up to 105°C. The sensor connection is not polarity dependent. The sensor cables must not
be routed closer than 100 mm from mains cables carrying 230 or 400 V, to avoid induction.
In strong electromagnetic fields, such as those close to high-voltage cables, overhead lines for railways,
substations, radio and television appliances, amateur radio transmitters or equipment which uses
microwaves, the sensor cables must be screened.
The sensor cables can be joined up to a maximum of 100 m. Sensor cables shorter than 50 m must have
a cross section area of 0.75 mm². Sensor cables between 50 and 100 m must have a cross section area
of 1.5 mm².
Outputs
Output P1: For solar collector circulation pump, solid state relay or speed control. Breaking capacity 1 A.
Output P2: Hot water circulation pump or relay. Breaking capacity 3.5 A. Output P2 is open.
Output R1: For relay or circulation pump/valve for the transfer of thermal energy. Breaking capacity 3.5 A.
Output R1 is open.
Output H1: For auxiliary heating device or relay. Breaking capacity 10 A. Output H1 is open.
Commissioning
Connect the sensors, pumps and valves to the controller before connecting the power supply. The first time
the controller is switched on you will be prompted to set the date, time and system parameters.
