DESCRIPTION
Mode selector
The table below explains the symbols and corresponding functions of the mode selector in its different
positions.
Position Function
OFF
Turns off the instrument.
The range for measuring AC voltage is from 200V to 300V.
The range for measuring DC current is from 2000
μ
A to 200mA.
Square wave (output)
Battery test (1.5V and 9V batteries).
Diode test.
The range for measuring resistance is from 200
Ω
to 2000k
Ω
(kohm).
The range for measuring DC voltage is from 200mV to 300V.
Display screen symbols
Symbol Meaning
Indicates a negative reading.
The input value is too great for the selected measurement range.
UNPACKING
Open the packaging and check that the following are included:
1 multimeter
1 copy of Operating Instructions
2 test cables
1 x 12V battery (A23)
The battery should already be in the multimeter.

OPERATION
MEASURING AC VOLTAGE
WARNING!
To avoid electric shock, injury or damage to the instrument, do not try to measure a voltage
above 300 volts rms, even if a reading can be obtained.
The positions for measuring AC voltage are 200V and 300V. To measure AC voltage, connect the
multimeter as follows:
