OPERATION
Start
Move the power switch forward.
Shut off
Move the power switch backward.
Use
1.
Secure the workpiece with a clamp, vice or clips. This is especially important for small workpieces.
2.
Mark the working direction on the workpiece.
3.
Hold the tool firmly.
4.
Turn the power switch to ON.
5.
Wait until the tool has reached the maximum stroke rate.
6.
Place the processing accessory against the workpiece.
7.
Keep the processing accessory firmly pressed against the workpiece and move the tool slowly
along the marked line.
8.
Do not press too hard. Let the tool do the work. If the tool starts to vibrate strongly you are pressing
too hard.
9.
Turn off the tool and wait until all moving parts have stopped completely before putting the tool
aside.
DESCRIPTION OF ACCESSORIES
Sanding sole
For sanding close to edges, corners and difficult-to-reach areas. Can be used for wood, paint, vanish or
stone with a suitable abrasive paper.
Scraper
For removal of adhesive, carpeting, tiles/clinker, etc. from solid surfaces.
Saw blade
For cross-cut and fret sawing, for sawing close to edges, corners and difficult-to-reach areas. For hard
and soft wood, plastic and non-ferrous metal.
Fitting accessories
The saw blade, scraper and sanding sole are fitted with a locking screw and locking ring.
1.
Remove the locking screw using a hex key.
2.
Fit the required accessory and lock with the locking screw. Check that the accessory is properly
installed.
Fitting/replacing abrasive paper
Use Velcro-backed abrasive paper.
1.
Use your hand to firmly press the abrasive paper onto the centre of the sanding sole.
2.
Start the tool. This ensures the abrasive paper is properly secured and will not wear out
prematurely.
3.
If the abrasive paper is torn in one place, you can remove it, turn it 120 degrees and refit it, or
replace it.
WARNING:
Always turn off the tool and unplug the power cord before fitting or replacing accessories.
MAINTENANCE
The tool is designed to work for long periods with a minimum of maintenance. Good care and regular
cleaning are essential for the tool to function properly.
Cleaning
•
Keep the tool's ventilation openings clean to prevent the motor from overheating.
•
Clean the tool regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use.
