Results of Improper Adjustment
1. Set the stitch dial to “0 mm”.
2. Remove throat plate and throat plate base.
3. Loosen setscrew

in the feed rocker shaft crank.
4. Loosen setscrew

in the feed rocker shaft rear bushing.
5. Loosen setscrew

in the vertical feed arm.
6. Loosen setscrew
6
in the vertical feed shaft thrust collar.
7. Loosen setscrew
7
in the vertical feed rocker shaft bushing.
8. Turn the handwheel to bring the needle bar to the lowest dead
point of its stroke.
9. Move the feed rocker shaft bushing and the vertical feed rocker
shafdt bushing. Slightly move horizontal feed base

and feed

, and adjust so that needle

enters in the center of
the needle hole of feed dog

10.After the adjustment, securely tighten the setscrews.
When the height of the feed dog is
higher than the specified value :
™
Stitch pitch becomes larger than
the scale of the feed dial.
™
Balloon stitches will result.
™
Return of sewing product will
occur.
When the height of the feed dog is
lower than the specified value :
™
Stitch pitch becomes smaller
than the scale of the feed dial.
™
Feed force will be deteriorated.
™

breakage will result.
™
Poorly tensed stitches will result.
™
Needle breakage will result.
1. Set the stitch dial to “0 mm”.
2. Turn the handwheel to bring the height of the feed dog to the
maximum.
(Bring the needle bar to the lowest dead point of its stroke.)
3. Loosen setscrew

in the vertical feed bar shaft arm, move
feed base

up or down and adjust feed dog

from top surface
4
of the throat plate (center section) to the dimension A. Then
securely tighten the setscrew.
