Microphone input.
The microphone socket is either a 4 or a 6 pin connector. In the case of a 6 pin
connector, pin 5 and 6 must be shorted together when using an ordinary microphone.
These pins are used if a telephone handset are in use.
The microphone should have 600
Ω
impedance with a sensitivity of 5 mV.
4 - pin microphone socket.
The 4-pin microphone socket has the following pin assignment:

Microphone ground.
6 - pin microphone socket.
The 6-pin microphone socket has the following pin assignment:

Local remote switch.
The switch decides whether the audio and keying signals should be taken from the
microphone socket or from the remote connector.
In local position, both audio for the transmitter and the key signal (PTT) is taken from
the microphone input.
7In remote, audio and key signals are taken from the 600 remote line input/output.
The 600 remote line will also output the received audio in when the switch is in
remote position.
The built in loudspeaker will be connected in either position of the switch.
