General Laser Engraving Instructions
•
Place the silicone sleeve onto the laser bed and align to the zero point on the laser bed.
o
Optional: Utilize a jig to help position and hold the silicone sleeve flat on the laser bed.
o
If jig is not available, use tape to help hold the silicone sleeves flat on the laser bed.
•
Adjust the laser focus to the surface of the silicone sleeve.
•
Once the artwork is positioned, engrave using the suggested starting settings.
o
Settings may need adjusted depending on the laser tube wattage.
•
When finished, remove the silicone sleeve from the laser bed.
•
If cleanup is needed, wash the surface of the silicone sleeve with soap and water.

Troubleshooting
•
The engraved area is charring/melting.
o
Laser power setting and/or resolution may need to be decreased.
o
Laser speed setting may need to be increased.
•
The engraving is fading on the edges of the graphic.
o
The laser focus may need to be adjusted or calibrated to ensure the laser is focusing properly to
the silicone sleeve surface.
o
Additional tape or the use of a custom jig may be needed to help ensure the silicone sleeve is
held as flat as possible to the laser bed. The silicone sleeve must be flat to ensure the laser is
properly focused to the silicone sleeve surface.
