VAV-01 OVERVIEW

The JCI VAV-01 Controller consists of a Variable Air Volume (VAV)
controller integrated with a velocity pressure sensor. It provides
pressure dependent/independent cooling control for fan powered VAV
terminal boxes with or without reheat capacity.

The VAV-01 Controller is a 4”x 6” circuit board using SMT (surface
mount technology) components. The board is snap-track mountable
and has a built-in airflow sensor, 5 Triac outputs, 24 VAC input, a FTT-
10 free topology transceiver and a STAT/Configuration port. The VAV-
01 can support stand-alone operation but is best utilized when used
in conjunction with network communications. The unit is shown in
Figure 1 below:
