M9300 Series Switch Kits Installation Guide
2
Mounting the switch kit to the M9300 Series and VA9300 Series Electric Actuators
1. Make sure that you install the electric actuator correctly.
2. Press the manual override on the electric actuator (1). See Figure 2.
3. Rotate the electric actuator and the switch kit fully CCW (2). See Figure 2 and Figure 3.
4. For M(VA)9316, M(VA)9320 and M(VA)9335 Series Electric Actuators, install the switch kit extender and then
the switch kit. See Figure 4. For VA9316, VA9320, and VA9335 you must remove the manual override handle
and put it aside.
5. For all other M9300 Series and VA9300 Series Electric Actuators, snap the switch kit (3) onto the electric
actuator (4), and make sure that the posts align with the adjacent holes (5). See Figure 5. Allow a gap no
larger than 2.5 mm (0.1 in.) between the switch kit and the face of the actuator coupler.
6. To lock the conduit into the switch kit, slide the conduit adaptor (1) over the cable (2), into the switch kit (3) and
turn the conduit adaptor clockwise. See Figure 6.
7. Press down (1) and rotate the cam (2) to the required switch setting, then release. See Figure 7.
Note:
Use a manual screwdriver to adjust the cam. An electric screwdriver causes excess torque, which could
damage the switch cam.
8. Snap the plastic pointer onto the switch kit. See Figure 8.
9. Wire the switch kit. See Figure 9.
Note:
For VA9316, VA9320, and VA9335, retain the handle. To manually adjust the valve, remove the switch kit
and reattach the handle.
