802SB Sounder configuration
For system loading, refer to Publication 17A-02-LOOP
for System Loading Guidelines.
For fully loaded systems, the system should be tested
for 30 minutes in full alarm (all sounders). For a single
power supply system, it may be found necessary to add
a further MX power supply. If the system already has
two MX power supplies, 802SBs may be supplemented
with 901SB sounders supplied via an independent
power supply.
Although tones are identical, 901SBs and 802SBs have
a slightly different switch on characteristics and should
be used in different areas.
Sounder output options
The sounder output may be adjusted by means of one
potentiometer (volume) and a 4-way DIL switch (sound
options) on the detector side of the unit (Fig. 3 on
page 3).
The Factory Settings are:
– Volume: high (fully clockwise)
– Tone option: fast sweep
Table 1 gives the sounder tone options available.
The volume is adjusted using a trimmer tool (S/C No
517.050.015) (Fig. 3 on page 3 refers).
Sounder output levels
Table 2 gives the sound output in dBA of non LPCB
approved tones.
Tables3 to 5 give the LPCB approved sounder bases
output levels.
