After placing the suture using standard continuous or
interrupted technique load an additional clip and pass
the loaded LAPRA-TY Suture Applier through the trocar.
Position the clip by sliding it down the suture until it makes
contact with the tissue.
NOTE:
Excessive tension may
cause clip slippage.
Close the applier jaws by squeezing the handle of the
applier until the clip is visibly locked. Surgeon should
verify closure and security.

Grasp the applier by the handle and insert the jaws of
the instrument into the individual cartridge slot. Ensure
the tips of the applier are perpendicular to the surface
of the cartridge.
Place a LAPRA-TY® Suture Clip approximately 5mm
from the cut end of the suture.
NOTE:
Avoid placing
suture near the latch in order to ensure latch security.
LAPRA-TY Suture Clips are not intended for use in
clinical situations that require the use of suture material
other than sizes 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0 Coated VICRYL®
(polyglactin 910) Suture. Failure to use indicated suture
type and size may result in insufficient clip security.
