6.5 Devices modifying the
machine's performance
These switches, mechanical or electronical, are
normally open when actuated. They cause the power
cut off of the served elements.
Refer to electrical schematic for elements identifica-
tion.
NOTE
In the case of mechanical switches, the
opening of the contacts is not simultaneous :
ensure to be out the transition zones during
maintenance in this device.
6.5.1. Mast switch
Location : Bottom of mast n° 5
Detection : Work position (out of lowered position).
The work position is detected as soon as the mast
begins to raise.
Actions : Cancellation of drive speed 2 and 3.
Activation of the tilt detection.
Served elements : K9
EVC
Hi-Lo (+)
Drive management module
: E14, E22
Elements in italic : Depending of the position of the
drive speed selector.
6.5.2. "5m" mast switch
Situation : Mast n° 3 - Right side - Top of the mast.
Detection : Platform height over 5m.
Actions : Cancellation of the possibility to operate
the mast and jib lowering
simultaneously.
Activation of drive and steer limitation.
Served elements : K3 - K4
Drive management module
: E24.
6.5.3. Steering limit switch
Location : Steering bar
Wiring : Independant switches, wired in parallel
with the relay contacts K3.
Detection : Steering > 45°.
Actions : Cancellation of the steering control when
the platform has left is stowed position
(in the direction detected by the switch).
Served elements : DD - DG.
6.5.4. Drive limit switch
Location : Steering bar
Wiring : Drive switch wired in serial
Detection : Steering angle > 45°.
Actions : Drive removal (height over 5m).
Cancellation of the 3rd drive speed (lower
position).
Served elements : Drive module management : E7
(depending of the various safety
features condition).
