PREPARATION
Delivery contents
• 1 x CD radio
• 1 x power cord
• 1 x operating instructions
Unpacking and checking
• Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would
like to store the radio away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then
please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
• Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be
complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.
Setting up the device
• Place the radio on a flat, even and dry surface.
• Ensure for sufficient ventilation. Keep a minimum distance of at least 10 cm all around the radio to ensure
for sufficient cooling.
Battery operation
• To operate this radio with batteries, you need six 1.5 V type C/UM-2/LR14 batteries (not included).
• Open the battery compartment (14) on the back of the radio and insert the batteries.
• When doing so, pay attention to the correct polarity (+) and (-) according to the markings.
• Close the battery compartment again. Make sure that the cover clicks into place properly.
• Remove all batteries when using the radio with a power plug.
• Remove all the batteries when the radio is not going to be used for a longer period of time in order to avoid
damages.

).
• Do not operate the radio with the power cord and batteries simultaneously.
