Maintenance
Occasionally, the starting unit clutch may slip or not grip properly, the result of dust and
oil sediment on the compressor nut. The O-ring and compressor nut should be cleaned
periodically, with a cotton swap and solvent. When the turbine is not running, the
starter may be tested by pressing the
IGNITION
button on the GSU.
Check your fuel filters every ten (10) flights.
Each
JetCAT P80
has a prescribed maintenance interval. After approximately 25
hours, the engine should be returned to
CAT
(along with the ECU and fuel pump), for
service. The total running time of the turbine can be accessed and monitored through
the
STATISTIC
menu.
