SETTING THE CLOCK TIME
In order for the clock to function properly , the clock must be set before using it for
the first time. The display will be flashing when you plug the unit in for the first time.
If the display is not flashing, and the unit is in standby mode, press and hold the
/ MEM / M + BUTTON (#2) until the clock display begins to flash.
To set the time, follow the steps below:
1. Tap the HOUR/ BUTTON (#3) repeatedly to set the correct hour. Press and
hold the button to increase the time faster.
2. After hour is set, tap the MIN/ BUTTON (#4) repeatedly to set the correct
minutes. Press and hold the button to increase the time faster.
3. Press the / MEM / M + BUTTON (#2) to confirm the time. The unit will
automatically save the setting and exit the time set mode if you do not tap the
/ MEM / M + BUTTON (#2) within 5 seconds.
Note: Make sure the hour is set so that AM or PM is correctly displayed. There is a
PM INDICATOR (#9) located in the upper left corner of the LED DISPLAY
(#16). If the PM INDICATOR (#9) is showing on the LED DISPLAY (#16), the
displayed time is “PM”. If the PM INDICATOR (#9) is not showing on the LED
DISPLAY (#16), the time displayed is “AM”.
ALARM OPERATION
The QiCR-50 features a dual alarm clock.
To set the Alarms:
1. While in standby mode, press and hold the / BUTTON (#6) to enter the
ALARM 1 time setting mode.
2. The alarm time display will flash.
3. Tap the HOUR/ BUTTON (#3) AND MIN/ BUTTON (#4) repeatedly until
the correct alarm time is displayed.
4. Tap the / BUTTON (#6) to confirm. ALARM 1 INDICATOR (wake to alarm)
(#10) or Alarm 1 INDICATOR (wake to radio) (#11) will flash.
5. Tap the HOUR/ BUTTON (#3) AND MIN/ BUTTON (#4) repeatedly to
select the alarm sound source.
6. Tap the / BUTTON (#6) to confirm. Alarm frequency will flash on the LED
DISPLAY (#16).
7. Tap the HOUR/ BUTTON (#3) AND MIN/ BUTTON (#4) repeatedly to
select an alarm frequency (1-5 = Monday to Friday, 1-7 = Everyday, 6-7 =
Saturday & Sunday).
8. Tap the / BUTTON (#6) to confirm.
9. ALARM 2 setting procedures are same as ALARM 1.
Setting Wake to Alarm, Radio or Off
1. In standby mode, tap the / BUTTON (#6) repeatedly to set alarm 1.
a. Wake to Alarm, Alarm 1 INDICATOR (wake to alarm) (#10) will light up.
b. Wake to Radio, Alarm 1 INDICATOR (wake to radio) (#11) will light up.
c. ALARM 1 Off, both WAKE to ALARM & RADIO Indicators light off.
Note: during the above setting, the alarm time is shown on the LED display (#16).
2. ALARM 2 wake to ALARM, Radio or Off setting procedures is same as ALARM 1.
3. When alarm sounds, the corresponding alarm indicators will flash.
4. The alarm will continue to sound for one hour unless stopped by pressing the
/ MODE BUTTON (#8).
5. The set alarm times will sound again at the same time the following day.
Note: If ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 are set to the same time, only ALARM 2 will sound.
