AUXILIARY INPUT 

This  unit  provides  an  auxiliary  audio  signal  input  jack  for  connecting  external 

a

udio  devices  like  MP3  players,  CD  players  and  older,  non-dockable  iPods 

(except iPod shuffle 3

rd

 generation) and listen to your external source through 

the speakers of this system. 

1. Use an audio cable (not included) with one 3.5 mm stereo plug on each end 

of the cable. 

2. Plug one end into the Aux-in jack of the main unit and the other end of the 

cable  into  the  Line-out  Jack  or  Headphone  Jack  of  your  external  audio 

device.

3. Press  and  hold  the 

STANDBY

button  on  the  main  unit  or  press  the 

STANDBY

button on remote control to turn on the unit.   

4. Press the 

FUNCTION

button on the main unit or remote control repeatedly to 

select AUX mode. 

The

 AUX/Alarm indicator will go on.   

5. Turn on the external audio device. 

6. The volume level can now be controlled through the main unit. Operate all 

other functions on the auxiliary device as usual. 

Note:

  If  you  are  connected  to  the  Line  Out  Jack  of  your  external  device  then  you 

only need to adjust the volume control on this unit. If you are connected to the 
Headphone  Jack  of  your  external  device  then  you  may  need  to  adjust  both 
the  volume  controls  of  your  external  device  and  this  unit  to  find  the  most 
desirable volume setting.

 Press  and  hold  the 

STANDBY

button  on  main  unit  or  press  the 

STANDBY

  button on remote control to turning off the unit when you finish 

listening. Don't forget to switch off the power of your external device as well. 

SLEEP TIMER   

You can use the sleep timer to automatically turn off the unit when the selected 

sleep duration has elapsed when in Radio, iPod/iPhone or AUX modes. 

1. Turn  the  unit  on  and  either  dock  your  iPod/iPhone  or  tune  to  the  desired 

radio station.   

2. Press  the 

SLEEP

  button  repeatedly  to  select  the  desired  sleep  time.  The 

sleep  timer  can  be  set  for  90-10  minutes  in  10  minute  decremental  steps. 

The unit will stop and go into standby mode automatically when the selected 

sleep duration has elapsed. 

3.

To cancel the sleep timer, press the 

SLEEP

button on main unit or remote 

control until 

timer shows “OFF”. 

4. To turn the unit off before the sleep time has elapsed, press 

STANDBY

button at any time.
