Setting the alarms ON/OFF:
1. In Standby mode, tap the ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) to turn on Alarm 1. The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) on the LED DISPLAY (#1) will turn on.
2. Tap the ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) again to turn off the Alarm 1. The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) will be turned off.
3. Turning Alarm 2 on/off will uses the same steps above, but using the ALARM 2 BUTTON
(#18) in place of the ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17).
SNOOZE FUNCTION
When the alarm sounds, tap the SNOOZE BUTTON (#20) to temporarily turn off the alarm
and activate the snooze function. The alarm will stop and turn on again 9 minutes later. This
can be repeated when the alarm sounds again.
Notes:
•
The corresponding AL1 or AL2 alarm indicator will
flash
during the snooze period.
•
To cancel the snooze period and the alarm, press the POWER BUTTON (21).
RADIO OPERATION
Listening to the radio:
1. Tap the POWER BUTTON (#21) to turn the unit on.
2. If you repeatedly tap the FUNCTION BUTTON (#19), you will step through the different
modes available: CD ->
FM Radio -> AM Radio -> AUX
3. Tap the FUNCTION BUTTON (#19) repeatedly to select either FM or AM radio mode.
4. The FM or AM frequency will show on the LED display (#1).

Manual Tuning:
Repeatedly
tap the
SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON (#23)
to
manually adjust the frequency.
6.
Automatic Tuning:
Press and hold the SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON
(#23)
to automatically tune to the previous or next available station.
7. Tap the VOL + / - BUTTONS (#15 / #16) to obtain the desired volume level.
8. Press and hold the POWER BUTTON (#21) to turn the radio off.
Notes:
•
Use
Manual Tuning
to select weaker stations that might be skipped during Automatic
Tuning.
•
If the Automatic Tuning does not stop on the exact frequency of the station, for example, it
stops on 88.9 MHz instead of 88.8 MHz, use the manual tuning method to “fine tune” to
the exact frequency of the desired station.
TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION
AM - The AM antenna is built inside the radio. If AM reception is weak, change the position of
the unit until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal.
FM - If FM reception is weak, fully extend the FM ANTENNA (#29) and vary the position and
location of the antenna until you find the strongest signal.
