Replacing the battery pack
The battery compartment is located on the back of the unit, as shown in
Figure 8 .
The following procedure describes how to replace the battery pack.
To replace the battery pack
1 Turn the power off.
2 Remove the battery compartment door by pressing down and pushing
toward the bottom end.
3 Replace the battery pack.
4 Replace the battery compartment door.
Replacing the batteries is complete.

CAUTION: INSTRUMENT DAMAGE
Failure to turn the power off before removing the batteries from the VDSL
Services Tester could damage internal components and/or corrupt the soft-
ware. Always power down the unit before removing the batteries.
