CellAdvisor JD720C User's Manual

 

Appendix F – Device driver installation 

The JD720C series can be controlled from the application software JDViewer or JDRemote 
installed on your computer. You must install driver software for the instrument on to your 
computer if USB Client connection is used for communication. Following is an example of 
procedure done with Windows 7. 

 

Procedure

 

1 

On your computer, go to 

Control Panel > System > Device Manager

. 

The Device Manager window appears. 

2 

Right-click the 

Unknown Device

 under the 

Other Devices

, and then click the 

Update Driver 

Software

. 

The Update Driver Software 

– Unknown Device window appears as shown in 

Figure 109

. 

3 

Select the 

Browse my computer for driver software

, and then click the 

Browse

 button to 

search for the location where the driver software is. 
The Browse For Folder window appears. 

4 

Search for the 

JDRemote

 folder, and then select the driver folder for the installed OS. 

For example, OSDisk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > JDRemote > Driver > Win7 > 64bit.

Click the 

OK

 button. 

The Browse For Folder window dismisses. 

6 

Click the 

Next

 button to start installation. 

If the Windows Security window appears, select the 

Install this driver software anyway

. 

Installing driver software starts.

Click the 

Close

 button at the end of the installation.
