ON/OFF Trigger
m
Gradually press the ON/OFF Trigger to start
the power tool
m
Gradually squeeze the ON/OFF Trigger
more to increase the chuck rotation speed.
m
Release it slightly to reduce the speed.
m
Completely release the ON/OFF Trigger to
stop the chuck from rotating.
Forward/Reverse Direction
Selector Switch
Only use the direction selector switch (6)
when the power tool is stopped and the
chuck is not rotating.Otherwise the power
tool can be damaged.
WARNING!
m
Use the Direction Selector Switch to
choose between clockwise rotation or anti-
clockwise rotation.
m
When the Direction Selector Switch is in
the middle position the ON/OFF Trigger is
locked and cannot be pressed.
m
Always put the direction selector
switch in the middle position before
putting the power tool down
. This
reduces the risk of accidentally starting it.
m
Press in the direction selector with the
arrow pointing to the chuck for rotation to
the right/screwing/drilling.
m
Press in the direction selector switch with
the arrow pointing away from the chuck for
rotation to the left/unscrewing.
Torque Setting
Only use the torque setting ring when the
power tool is stopped and the chuck is not
rotating. Otherwise the power tool can be
damaged.

Before you start working you should test
your selection to find a suitable torque
setting on a sample of the same material as
the work piece.
m
The lowest torque is with the arrow
pointing to 1. Higher numbers mean higher
torque.
m
To use the highest torque the power tool
can produce, set the mode selector to
the drill symbol. In this mode the torque
inhibitor is not activated.
m
For driving screws, especially in wood, a low
torque should be selected to reduce the
risk of damaging the screw head, thread or
work piece.
m
A high torque setting is best for drilling.

Drilling Mode
Use the correct specification of drill bit for
the material and power tool you are working
with. Incorrect selection may cause damage
to the power tool, workpiece or bit.
WARNING!
Check that the drill bit is correctly inserted
and the chuck is properly tightened before
starting the power tool.
