Use the supplied pin wrench to fully tighten
the locking nut.
Power Switch
m
Slide the ON/OFF power switch (1)
forward towards the machine head to start
the power tool.
The ON/OFF power switch has an integral
locking facility for constant operation.
Constant Speed
Activating the lock feature:
m
Slide the power switch forward and then
press the front of the switch inwards to set
to constant locked speed.
m
Release pressure on the power switch and
allow the switch to slide backwards away
from the machine head.
The tool is now locked at a constant speed
without having to maintain pressure on the
power switch.
To release the lock:
m
Apply pressure to the rear of the power
switch
m
The locking button will automatically release.
m
Release pressure on the power switch and
allow the switch to slide backwards away
from the machine head.
The power tool will come to a stop.
Grinding
m
Allow the tool to reach full speed before
touching the tool to the work surface.
m
Apply minimum pressure to the work
surface, allowing the tool to operate at high
speed.
The grinding rate is greatest when the tool is
at high speed.
NOTE
m
Remove the wheel from the work surface
before turning the power tool off. Allow the
wheel to stop rotating before laying it down.
A fully enclosed guard is recommended to be
fitted for cutting-off operations. Failure to fit a
fully enclosed guard for cutting-off operations
may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING!
Surface Grinding
m
Maintain a 20-30 degree angle between the
power tool and work surface.
m
Continuously move the wheel in a forward
and back motion to avoid creating gouges in
the work surface.
Edge Grinding (Cutting)
Wheels used for cutting and edge grinding
may break if they bend or twist while the
tool is being used to do cut-off work or deep
grinding.
WARNING!
m
Position yourself so that the open-underside
of the wheel is facing away from you.
Check the direction of rotation of the
accessory matches the direction of rotation
marked on the power tool!
