Volume Control Schemes
INTEGRATION WITH A FIXED OUTPUT TV
If your TV does not support variable audio output, we recommend using the soundbar as follows:
1. Program the remote's volume buttons to control
the soundbar.
2. On the back of the soundbar, select "Fixed
Source".
3.
Within the TV's on-screen menu, make one
simple change:
a. Disable internal speaker (recommended
for best sound)
As the diagram above implies, the end-user makes volume adjustments directly to the soundbar (which indicates volume
via 10 front panel LEDs). Compared to the previous system, this requires a slightly longer setup time, because a remote
(or the soundbar itself—see
"Programming the Soundbar to Respond to Any Remote" on page 9 ) requires IR code
programming. That being said, this system is still simple, reliable, and easily installed.
