Installing Your System
In choosing a suitable location you should bear in mind:
•
The need to reach the door announcer and PIR easily for turning the unit on or off and
if the batteries need replacing.
•
The door announcer should not be visible from the exterior of the protected premises.
Reception of radio signals can be affected by the presence of metal objects within a few feet of
the door announcer. (E.g. mirrors, central heating, garage doors and cars parked in garages on
the opposite side of the wall. Avoid any location which is near (within 60cm) to these or any
other large metal objects.
Installation
Wireless Door Announcer
CAUTION:
When positioning the door announcer ensure that it is located in a dry place away
from damp areas.
Step 1
:Unscrew and retain the holding screw from
front cover. Remove the front cover(s) from the base
assembly.
Step 2:
Place 4 x 1.5V D-Cell Alkaline batteries (not included)
inside the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
Step 3:
Close the front cover and screw it up. Turn on the unit
and two short ”beeps” are heard. The unit is now operational.
Place the unit to the suitable location according to the your own
needs.
