Calibrating the Windows® CE Controller
The use of the integrated Windows® CE controller allows the operator to
significantly increase measuring productivity. Also, the controller permits the
user to control measuring directly in the field (Figure 2-36).

To begin using the integrated controller, you need to:
1. Calibrate the touch screen. See “Touch Screen Calibration” on page 2-30.

Set the clock. See “Setting the Clock” on page 2-31.

Establish a partnership between the controller and your computer. See
“Establishing a Partnership” on page 2-31.
Touch Screen Calibration
The screen on the integrated Windows® CE controller is sensitive to the
touch of a finger or stylus. This touch screen functions similar to that of a
traditional mouse. Simple use a stylus or your finger to touch the commands
you want.
To begin using the touch screen function, you must first calibrate it.
1. Press the controller’s keypad On key.
2. Tap Start->Settings->Control Panel->Stylus .
OR
Press [alt]+[ctrl]+[+]
3. Follow the on-screen prompts.
If the calibration fails, repeat the procedure. Once it succeeds, the unit will
tell you to press the
Enter key on the controller’s keypad to accept the new
calibration settings. Press the Esc key to discard this calibration (to keep the
old settings) and repeat the procedure.
