Ensure that the bleeder screw is tight-
ened



Ensure that the relief valve is closed



Open the shut-off valve by turning it
counterclockwise



Bleed out any air in the water heater
by opening the hot water tap. When
only water comes out of the tap, the
water heater is full and the device
may be powered up.
