changed.
„
Err
“ in display.
The device does not
operate in spite of
the above.
Reason
Current path is assigned to the
wrong voltage path.
The device was exposed to
electro magnetical distur-
bance, which was higher than
those mentioned in the techni-
cal data.
Current transformer ratio is
programmed incorrectly.
Current path is assigned to the
wrong voltage path.
At least one current trans-
former connection is inter-
changed.
Current path is assigned to the

Device defective.
Elimination
Check and correct connection.
Improve external protection measures
such as protection, filtering, earthing and
local separation.
Read current transformer ratio and pro-
gram accordingly.
Check and correct connection.
Check and correct connection.

Please send the device back to the pro-
ducer with a detailed description of the
error.
Error messages
While exceeding an allowed measured value
range, the UMG 96L indicates the error mes-
sage „
Err
“.
An exceeding of a measured value range
arises, if at least one of the three existing cur-
rent or voltage inputs or the frequency is out of
the specified measuring range.
The symbols "V", "A" and „Hz“ indicate, which
measured value is out of range.
The phase is marked by the arrows upwards in
which the exceeding occured.
Attention!
Voltage and current beyond the specifi-
cations may destroy the device.
